$11 per lb of final packaged weight
Price includes butcher fees and delivery. Your total is based on the final weight after processing.
Based on recent animals weighing 900–950 lb live and a 58–62% hanging yield. Approximate take-home weights assume bone-in cuts; the actual amount depends on the animal and processor.
Example whole Mini Hereford: For a 925 lb live-weight Mini Hereford, a rough hanging-weight estimate is 550–570 lb. A standard-cut take-home example is about 360–380 lb packaged; your actual bone-in yield will depend on the animal, cut choices, and processor. These are estimates, not guaranteed weights.
Illustrative standard cut at about ¾-inch steak thickness:
This is an example mix, not a guaranteed order. Cut selections, steak thickness, aging, and animal variation change the final amounts; your butcher’s cut sheet determines the actual order.
Enjoy beef a little at a time, with the same price of $11 per pound of final packaged weight.
Steak and roast selections may include ribeyes, chuck and shoulder cuts, bone-in T-bone or porterhouse steaks, sirloin, round cuts, London broil, tri-tip, or rump roast. Exact cuts and quantities depend on your cut-sheet choices and the animal.
For the 30 lb plan, the 15 lb ground-beef portion does not divide evenly into 2 lb packages; final package sizes will be confirmed with the butcher.
For every 10 lb ordered each month, we include one free dozen of eggs with your delivery: 2 dozen with 20 lb, 3 dozen with 30 lb, or 4 dozen with 40 lb.
Six-month minimum agreement. Monthly deliveries and availability are confirmed with the farm.

Collins Farm is built on the belief that animal care should be personal. We started in 2020 with just two goats and ten chickens. Today, we breed and raise more than 50 goats and 10 cattle each year, with plans to grow in the future. We know all of our animals by name, take pride in the little things, and are always glad to talk farm and welcome visitors who are interested in farming themselves.
We’re happy to answer questions, talk through what might be a good fit, and arrange a visit by appointment.
